Requirements
  • Associate degree in business, marketing or related field.
  • 1+ year of sales/customer service experience, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Basic PC skills required, including Excel, Word, and Adobe software, CRM tool experience preferred.
  • Prior phone and email communication experience.
  • NYS Life and Health insurance license is required for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively places outbound calls to existing customers with disability policies within specified timeframe.
  • Maximizes opportunities to upgrade the customer’s existing disability policy and cross-sell additional products to achieve sales goals.
  • Responsible for meeting individual sales and quality of business targets.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and resolves problems professionally, accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Follows up regarding pending or incomplete sales transactions as needed.
  • Participates in business retention activities as directed by management.
  • Keeps customers informed about available products and services, pricing, and new insurance products and/or promotions.
  • Generates periodic reports for manager summarizing results.
  • Maintains insurance product knowledge and strives to improve selling techniques.
