Requirements
  • At least three years of Radiation Oncology experience.
  • Progressive leadership experience in Nursing.
  • Master's degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • Current New York State Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and nursing leadership for the Radiation Oncology and Gamma Knife programs in collaboration with the Chair of Radiation Oncology, physician leadership, and Neurosurgery partners.
  • Maintain an autonomous environment that inspires nurses to reach their full potential.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that shape the future of emergency care and align with hospital-wide goals.
  • Regularly assess unit operations and identify process improvements to enhance the patient experience.
  • Assume front-line responsibility for the unit's fiscal performance, resource allocation, scheduling, staff evaluation, and patient care delivery on a 24-hour basis.
  • Excel as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit, caring for a variety of patient populations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in leading unit development.
  • Experience with union environments.
  • Certification as a Nurse Executive
