Requirements
  • A 4-year undergraduate degree is required.
  • Ability to problem solve, think quickly, and respond to customers in a timely manner.
  • Ability to schedule and execute complex activities across multiple sites.
  • Ability to self-manage priorities and follow up with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to interpret and present technical documentation, including construction documents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60%–70% out of town to plants and jobsites in other states.
Responsibilities
  • Establish the Project Lead role and bridge communication between operations staff and customers.
  • Coordinate release work with Sales, Project Managers, and Operations personnel to meet delivery schedules.
  • Enter sales orders into the enterprise resource planning system, print and email delivery tickets, and produce product labels and other yard and quality-control paperwork.
  • Inspect products against release checklists and marshal staff and resources to ensure product readiness and on-time delivery.
  • Be onsite at regional manufacturing facilities to oversee and direct load plans and execute schedules.
  • Manage relationships with outside trucking brokers to maintain service quality, capacity, and freight budgets.
  • Address product quality or service gaps with staff and vendors and implement procedures to prevent recurrence.
  • Travel to customer jobsites as needed for critical deliveries and inspections and provide product representation.
  • Answer and return internal and external customer phone calls promptly and handle issues swiftly and professionally.
  • Coordinate relationships with Sales, Operations, and other Project Managers to achieve accountability and desired outcomes.
  • Define and track completion turnaround times for critical milestones, including contract execution, submittals, production scheduling, and delivery.
  • Monitor customer service issue completion, customer churn, and customer retention.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Mechanical or Civil Engineering degree with a Professional Engineer license is a plus.
  • Manufacturing, engineering, mechanical, or electrical-control experience is a major plus.
