- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies.
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by staying updated on new legislation.
- Enforce adherence to requirements and advise management on needed actions.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling them with the data storage system.
- Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment and issuing work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacements.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees.
- Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Evaluate resources and training needed for daily operations and make adjustments as necessary.
- Manage the new-hire process for operations, including interviewing candidates.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
