What believers are saying

  • On July 23, 2026, AtriCure raised 2026 revenue guidance to $602 million-$610 million.
  • Q2 2026 revenue hit $153.6 million, with adjusted EBITDA rising 78% to $27.3 million.
  • BoxX-NoAF reached 50% enrollment ahead of schedule, with data expected in 2027.

What critics are saying

  • Medtronic’s Affera Sphere-360 and Boston Scientific’s PFA systems attack AtriCure’s core surgery workflows.
  • BoxX-NoAF and LeAAPS still define upside; any trial failure erases expansion plans.
  • If PFA catheter adoption shifts surgeons away, AtriCure’s surgical ablation franchise shrinks permanently.

What makes AtriCure unique

  • AtriCure’s EnCompass and AtriClip platforms bundle surgical ablation, appendage exclusion, and training.
  • CryoSPHERE MAX halved freeze times and drove pain-management adoption in Q2 2026.
  • LeAAPS enrolled 6,573 patients, giving AtriCure the largest cardiac-surgery device trial.

AtriCure targets $1B revenue by 2030 as pain management volumes jump 25%

AtriCure is targeting $1 billion in revenue by 2030, up from current guidance of $602–610 million annually. The company, which focuses on atrial fibrillation treatment and post-surgical pain management, has posted roughly 18% compound annual growth over five years, a 77% gross margin, and three consecutive quarters of net income. Pain management is driving expansion. Procedure volume grew about 25% in the latest quarter, aided by the cryoSPHERE MAX launch, which halves freeze time for certain procedures. Market penetration stands at around 20% in thoracic procedures, with room to grow in sternotomy and amputation applications. Clinical trials could expand AtriCure's market further. The BoxX-NoAF trial is expected to complete enrollment by year-end, with data due mid-2027. The larger LeAAPS trial may support broader AtriClip adoption if stroke-reduction results prove favourable.
