Requirements
  • Hold an MD degree (or equivalent), and hold or be eligible for, licensure in the Province of Quebec
  • Have postgraduate clinical training in Pediatrics
  • Have completed specialty training in Pediatric Palliative Medicine
  • Hold certification by the Collège des médecins du Québec or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or equivalent)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of dedicated research training; a postgraduate degree (e.g. MSc or PhD) is an asset
  • Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec.
Responsibilities
  • Be an active physician member of the Division of Pediatric Palliative Medicine at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, MUHC
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently initiate, conduct, and manage a research program
  • Devote 50-75% of their time to research and apply for salary support from the FRQS
  • Obtain external operating grants for their research
  • Be actively involved in all aspects of McGill’s academic mission, including scholarly activities in Pediatric Palliative Medicine, formal teaching, clinical supervision, and involvement in academic and administrative committees
  • Participate in the Pediatric Palliative Medicine subspecialty training program
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary education mission, supporting the education and professional development of nurses and nurse practitioners
  • Contribute to service activities within their units, the University, and the wider scholarly community
Desired Qualifications
