Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, education or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in counseling, coaching, staffing, human resources or workforce development.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as point of contact for employers identified by the Job Developer and the Strategic Sector Leads.
  • Identify and prepare appropriate clients to be interviewed for specific job vacancies.
  • Ensure that all job orders are filled in a timely manner.
  • Provide intensive individual coaching to clients in job search.
  • Mitigate issues that arise between newly hired clients and employers, and counsel newly hired clients as necessary.
  • Conduct cold calls as necessary to employers with the express purpose of identifying businesses that currently hiring and establishing relations with those who are not for later follow-up.
  • Match a minimum of 20 participants per month into unsubsidized job placements by placing VRS participants into part time and of full-time employment of 20 hours minimum and wage no less than the approved minimum wage.
  • Follow up with VRS participants and employers, if necessary, within one day of referring them to an interview.
  • Design and create recruitment strategies, job fairs, on site employer visits, met the manger days and cyber info sessions for internet job search and companies that operate and scree through automated methods.
  • Announce job leads weekly in workshops and work closely with work-readiness instructors on follow ups with consumers referred to interviews.
  • Work closely with retention unit to ensure all employment data is documented accurately in the HRA SEAMS system and FedcapCARES.
