Technical Editor

Key Role:

Reviews and edits online and copy content, checking for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors, and verifies the validity of information and facts in submitted content and ensures writing satisfies house style. Applies advanced consulting skills, extensive technical expertise, and full industry knowledge. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Works without considerable direction and mentors and supervises team members, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a technical editor in an IC organization
• Ability to proofread, edit, and correct text for style and accuracy
• Ability to apply IC analytic standards and analytic tradecraft standards as defined in the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act, DIA Style Guide, classification guides, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) 203: Analytic Standards, and ICD 206: Sourcing Requirements
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
• Bachelor’s degree

• Possession of excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
