Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline related to facilities management, or a comparable combination of education, background, training, and experience.
  • Five years of experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Proficiency in or good working knowledge of asset management software administration and management.
  • Advanced understanding of current good manufacturing practices, 21 CFR 820, and ISO regulations, including working with engineering to develop procedures and processes for advanced equipment and future-state growth.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to travel approximately 20% as necessary to other facilities.
  • Ability to perform job functions requiring periods of sitting, standing, walking, hearing, and close visual acuity for working with computers.
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, lab coat, and gloves, in some work areas.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee in-house maintenance of facilities and utilities equipment or systems as needed, and provide support, guidance, and direction to engineering and operations on new and existing assets.
  • Oversee the preventive maintenance program that tracks all assets associated with current good manufacturing practices and non-current good manufacturing practices equipment and systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facilities, utilities, equipment, and related systems as needed.
  • Write quality system procedures, preventive maintenance instructions, deviation and failure investigations, change control documentation, and reports.
  • Interface with Facilities, Operations, Production Engineering, Research and Development, Quality, and Administration teams.
  • Correspond with approved service suppliers to ensure preventive maintenance of equipment, instruments, and systems is maintained appropriately.
  • Develop and analyze metrics to drive improvements.
  • Serve as lead process owner or co-process owner within the quality management system for the functional subdepartment.
  • Maintain all training requirements for the position while pursuing opportunities for continuous development and growth.
  • Adhere to the quality management system and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
