Requirements
- 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience
- Knowledge of accounting and/or payroll systems (knowledge of Oracle Fusion or UKG is preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
- Excellent time management skills
- Superior attention to detail
- Able to maintain confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to function as an effective team member
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as required, including nights, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable:
- Assist with the processing and submission of invoices for payment into the Company's accounting system
- Coordinate with MLB Office of the Commissioner for the setup and maintenance of new vendors
- Assist with processing of purchase orders into the accounting system
- Maintain excellent business relationships with vendors, employees, and other administrative departments in support of AP procedures
- Payroll:
- Assist with data entry into the Company's time and attendance system, as well as the Company's payroll system
- Assist with the preparation of payroll related documents (i.e., payroll balancing spreadsheet, active employee listing, etc.)
- Maintain an ongoing knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local pay and tax related laws and regulations
- Assist with the preparation of bi-weekly payroll and all related payroll reports including, but not limited to, tax deposits, 941 quarterly filings, W-2's and other year-end reports
- Partner with the Human Resources Department to ensure the integrity of the payroll data, including data related to new hires, terminations, transfers and rate changes
- Maintain a variety of files and records related to garnishment, levies and other income adjustments
- Other such duties as required
