- A Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
- The candidate must communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- The candidate must have or obtain a Certified Crop Advisor License within 2 years.

- The candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

- Inspect all crops and make pesticide recommendations.
- Maintain all restricted-use pesticide, Worker Protection Standard, and Safety Data Sheet records.
- Research all available pesticides and new pesticides.
- Supervise soil sampling and make fertilizer recommendations.
- Supervise field research regarding new products and practices.
- Maintain thorough production records.
- Assist Farm Management with all other day-to-day operations.
- Follow all applicable safety standards.
- Oversee the handling of Safety Data Sheets.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all regulations relating to food safety and personnel safety, including the Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
- Comply with all other regulations and laws affecting the company, including business law, trade secrets, and personnel practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding standard operating procedures, the Employee Handbook, Food Quality Policies, the Good Manufacturing Practices Handbook, and the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points program.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in crop production is preferred.
