Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • Prior experience in payroll, accounting, or administrative support is highly desirable.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in data entry are required to prevent payroll errors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, and database software is required.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting with employees and management.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and verify employee timesheets, calculate wages, deductions, and overtime, and prepare paychecks or direct deposits on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and leave balances.
  • Ensure payroll operations comply with federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Assist in preparing payroll reports, income statements, and supporting documentation for audits.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and provide guidance on deductions, benefits, and pay issues.
  • Enter payroll data into software systems, troubleshoot issues, and assist in implementing or updating payroll software.
  • Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee information and smooth payroll operations.
