Software Engineer / Test Automation

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to:

• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees.
• apply a broad range of software engineering practices, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing and deployment
• ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
• build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
• understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
• share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
• implement solutions based on the Flowable product with state-of-the-art technologies like Java/Spring Boot/Kafka/cloud technologies
• contribute to the design of the overall solution architecture
• work with innovative technologies form open-source world and a modern defined stack (Spring, Elastic, Kafka, Azure, etc.).

Your team

In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. You’ll be working in the WMPC EMEA Strategy and Product Management team in Pune with development responsibility for a key workflows solution and with a focus on devising solutions for our business teams and clients. It is a demanding, fast paced, and exciting environment where innovation is embedded in our culture.

Your expertise

•7 + years of exprience bachelor’s and/or master’s degree or equivalent focusing on Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• interested in learning new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
• strong communicator, from making presentations to technical writing
• experienced with logic algorithms, design patterns, optimizations, and other development approaches
• skilled in improving legacy code bases, as well as applying modern best practices to new projects
• proactive and comfortable working in dynamic environments
• working agile on new features and deliverables in a fast-paced environment
• effective within the complexity, constraints and boundaries of a leading global organization, operating in a highly regulated industry, running on bespoke software
• familiar with Agile methodology, Scaled Agile Framework and Scrum/Kanban delivery approaches
• excellent communicator who can partner with technical experts as well as end-users who might not be well versed in IT
• translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical tasks
• experience with Cloud architecture and engineering, ideally on Microsoft Azure
