Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in marketing or communications
  • 2-4+ years of experience in social media, community management and content creation for a brand account, media company, or non-profit
  • Experience managing social media platforms and communities on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with AP Style knowledge a plus - must be highly disciplined in proofreading and ensuring quality of communications
  • Have a strong understanding of visual identity and consistency across social media
  • Highly creative, able to bring strong ideas to the table and execute them across social channels
  • Knowledge of the intricacies and ever-changing landscape of social media and experience adapting content to obtain optimal results across various channels
  • Experience with social media management and content planning that resulted in tangible audience growth and long-term retention
  • Ability to identify and report on all social media KPIs; additional working knowledge of digital marketing KPIs is a definite plus
  • This is a full-time, hybrid/in-person position based in Los Angeles, CA and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day functions across social channels including:
  • Planning content calendar
  • Scheduling, posting, and monitoring content
  • Content ideation, creation, and execution
  • React in real time across social when severe weather events and other crises take place to insert Team Rubicon into relevant conversations and inform followers TR will be supporting impacted communities
  • Monitor KPIs and track post performance to make recommendations for future content
  • Collaborate with in-house creative team on graphic design executions, video content, and visual storytelling
  • Work alongside the Deputy Director, Digital on Team Rubicon's overall social media strategy, focusing on growing current audience, increasing engagement among followers, and building a pipeline of new donors and volunteers
  • Identify new platforms, trends, and content types to inform strategic planning and creative content development
  • Assist with analyzing social media metrics and consistent reporting to track KPIs
