Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program
  • Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs
  • This role requires residency in the state of GA
Responsibilities
  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement
  • Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications
  • Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program
  • Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings
  • Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives
  • Prepares operational and statistical reports
  • Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups
  • May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers
  • Serve as the liaison between Society advisors and the Office of Medical Education and Student Affairs
  • Manage SGA listservs and SGA calendar
  • Coordinate logistics of the SGA meetings
  • Manage the Society's budget
  • Coordinate and track CME for SGR
  • Educational Specialist for the following course experiences: M2 Electives, IPE/DEIRA Threads, Capstone
  • Serve as a liaison in partnership with the MD program's curriculum faculty to plan and design courses, threads, and programming
  • Collaborates with Center for Humanizing and Innovating Medical Education (CHIME) Educational Developers and defines educational goals, objectives, and methodologies to meet course, thread, and clerkship goals
  • Coordinate curriculum and program activities in partnership with curriculum and program faculty
  • Enter student grades once confirmed by the course director and train clerkship directors/coordinators to enter student grades for clerkships
  • Provide support services in partnership with the Center for Holistic Student Success (CHSS) –Accommodations
  • Writes, edits, and coordinates the development of educational materials, training manuals/standard operating procedures (SOP), newsletters, and brochures, as appropriate to the program
  • Maintains records and databases on student and program activities, materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Manage expenses for curriculum areas as appropriate
  • Coordinate logistics and documentation of the Educational Development subcommittee activities
  • Will be a non-voting member of the Educational Development Subcommittee
