Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, the following, where other duties may be assigned. The Corporate Tax provision team is responsible for:
- Preparation and/or review of forecasts, quarterly and year end worldwide tax provisions, including key data inputs from both domestic and foreign Teledyne business units. Effective tax rate analysis. 10-Q and 10-K income tax disclosures.
- Analysis and review of tax accounts to ensure accuracy, timely recording of transactions and events, and proper financial statement classification. Prepare and/or review: the global tax payable proof; cash tax forecast/analysis; global deferred tax rollforward (US detailed; non-US at 10-K caption level); global consolidated income tax account reconciliation.
- Ensure thoughtful assessment and maintain uncertain tax position and valuation allowance positions and calculations; anticipate future events and advise leadership of risks and opportunities.
- Assist in purchase accounting and integration of acquired companies in tax provision and tax compliance processes and systems.
- Execute and document SOX Controls with respect to income tax accounts.
- Support audits of financial statement results and SOX controls.
- Assist with US Federal and State and Local Income Tax filings.
- Assist in the collection, retention and analysis of tax attributes for planning and audits. Participate in planning the structuring to ensure correct tax reporting.
- Assist with and lead special projects; monitor evolving legislation, calculation and disclosure requirements.
- Some overtime is required during peak periods.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and development of tax staff.
- Support non-US local accounting teams in their income tax accounting by providing training, assisting in problem solving, and reviewing results for reasonableness.

Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Accounting and 8 plus years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree in Taxation and CPA desired.

Salary Range:
$149,600.00-$199,980.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
