  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR or People Operations roles, preferably in a remote and/or startup environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
  • Proactive problem solver with a positive and approachable attitude.
  • An analytical approach to People Operations, including a deep understanding of KPIs.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support the overall business goals.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of workforce planning and retention initiatives.
  • Implement, track and drive improvement across HR-related KPIs, including retention, engagement, efficiency and recruiting.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction in a remote work environment.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with our values. Collaborate with the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Committee to ensure we are recruiting and hiring diverse talent, and supporting an inclusive and equitable work environment for all employees.
  • Oversee the performance management process, providing guidance on goal-setting, feedback, and professional development.
  • Work closely with managers to address performance issues and implement improvement plans.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee relations matters, promoting a fair and inclusive workplace.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances.
  • Shape Daybreak’s recruitment operations and process
  • Advise hiring managers on recruiting best practices for individual roles
  • On an exception basis, support Daybreak with hiring key roles
  • Stay informed about employment laws and regulations, ensuring company policies and procedures are in compliance.
  • Update and communicate HR policies as needed.
