Uniswap enables direct, wallet-to-wallet crypto trading on the Ethereum blockchain and lets users provide liquidity to pools to earn fees. Trades occur through automated market maker pools, with a small fee paid by traders that goes to liquidity providers; developers can integrate Uniswap’s protocol to build dApps, and governance grants fund these efforts. It differs from many competitors by being a permissionless, on-chain protocol with open governance and liquidity pools, plus external integrations that broaden access. Its goal is to provide open, trust-minimized access to cryptocurrency trading and liquidity while expanding the DeFi ecosystem and supporting developers.

Uniswap launched Pools.Trade, a new token launchpad on Robinhood Chain. The platform offers two launch formats: Crowd Launch distributes tokens through a four-hour bidding process requiring a $10,000 fully diluted valuation minimum, whilst Instant Launch uses a bonding curve with no minimum threshold. All tokens start with a fixed supply of 1 billion and trade through Uniswap v4 pools with permanently locked liquidity. The platform charges 0.25% trading fees, with creators receiving 0.05% and the remainder automatically compounding into locked liquidity positions. Pools.Trade includes protections against snipers and bots. Crowd Launch's gradual bidding limits bundled purchases, whilst Instant Launch allows creators to buy during the launch block. Tokens are distributed through Uniswap's web app, wallet, and various integrations.
Uniswap Labs has introduced Permissioned Pools, a new hook standard for Uniswap v4 enabling compliant trading of regulated assets through automated market makers with onchain compliance enforcement. Launch partners include Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo. The tokenised asset market is estimated to reach $11 trillion by 2030. Permissioned Pools use Uniswap v4 hooks to verify wallet approval before swaps or liquidity actions, with the pool itself checking an issuer-managed allowlist rather than relying on frontend gates or offchain compliance. The standard allows issuers to maintain required controls whilst accessing AMM liquidity and DeFi composability. Approved investors gain direct onchain trading for assets previously unable to trade on AMMs. Uniswap has processed over $4.5 trillion in volume and is used by institutions including BlackRock and Fidelity.
Uniswap has launched tokenised securities trading on its web app, wallet and API, enabling users to trade tokenised versions of equities like SpaceX, Apple, Tesla and NVIDIA, alongside bonds and yield-bearing assets. The Uniswap Protocol has already processed over $9.1 billion in real-world asset swaps across 2.6 million transactions. The platform has handled $4.4 trillion in total volume to date. Onchain securities offer composability across DeFi protocols, trading outside traditional market hours, and configurable features including KYC gates and allowlists through Uniswap v4. Developers can integrate these assets via the Uniswap API without additional configuration. Tokenised securities may be subject to issuer-imposed eligibility requirements, KYC verification, whitelisting or jurisdictional restrictions. Access is available to eligible users through app.uniswap.org.
Paxos Labs has spun off from stablecoin issuer Paxos and raised $12 million in funding led by Blockchain Capital. Robot Ventures, family office Maelstrom and Uniswap Labs participated in the round. The new company will provide services for large enterprises to create and manage their own stablecoins. Chad Cascarilla, CEO of Paxos, will also serve as CEO of Paxos Labs. Co-founder Bhaumik Kotecha declined to disclose the valuation for the funding round.
Sprinter is a crosschain “solving-as-a-service” infrastructure startup that provides access to collateral-free credit.
