Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 10+ years of HR generalist experience, partnering with senior leadership to develop and implement benefits, H&S, and WCB strategies
  • Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of WCB processes and employment law
  • Excellent communicator, skilled at building relationships across all levels of an organization
Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end WCB claims process, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines and minimizing penalties
  • Analyze and contest questionable claims, working closely with legal counsel to navigate dispute resolution
  • Collaborate with business units to offer modified work solutions and support leaders in managing return-to-work conversations
  • Monitor accident and injury trends, using data-driven insights to influence the company’s H&S strategy
  • Act as the primary liaison with WCB, representing the organization and maintaining a productive working relationship with WCB representatives
  • Ensure legal compliance by staying updated on WCB regulations and best practices
  • Provide guidance and training to leaders and employees, ensuring proper documentation and communication of injury claims and return-to-work programs
