Requirements
  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program
  • ARRT-R Radiography certification
  • State-specific licensure or accreditation requirements for radiologic technologists (Illinois Emergency Management Agency Radiologic Technologists certification or Temporary Accreditation; Wisconsin licensure as Radiographer, Licensed by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services; ability to meet Basic Life Support Instructor certification through American Heart Association in conjunction with ARRT-R Radiography; for Illinois location: Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) certification or Temporary Accreditation - IEMA; for Missouri and Oklahoma locations: Basic Life Support Instructor certification through American Heart Association along with ARRT-R Radiography certification; for Wisconsin location: Basic Life Support Instructor certification through American Heart Association along with ARRT-R Radiography and Wisconsin Radiographer Licensed)
  • Completion of Radiology Technology program (already stated)
  • Some experience in Interventional Lab strongly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations
  • Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity
  • Monitors protocols and recommends updates or refinements as warranted
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ensures all activities comply with regulatory agency standards
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
