Requirements
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Apparel or Textile Design, Technology, Merchandising, or Engineering
  • You have 8+ years’ experience in sourcing, design, development, production, or merchandising, ideally including 3+ years’ experience in people leadership
  • You have a strong knowledge of apparel construction, material construction and properties, pattern making, costing, bill of materials, embroidery and surface applications
  • You have strong digital dexterity skills, including the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and leverage data
  • You have proven skills in problem solving, interpreting design intent and product innovation
  • You have proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • You have an extreme attention to detail

Responsibilities
  • Managing your category and vendor relationships on long range planning, challenges and opportunities
  • Reporting and driving improvement on key metrics that deliver speed, quality, cost and efficiency
  • Partnering with cross functional teams and our external vendors to provide continuous improvements in speed, scalability, efficiency and consistency in our development to manufacturing process
  • Connecting and driving progress on cross functional projects providing supply chain impacts and risk mitigation to the business goals
  • Building, coaching, and guiding a high performing team of Sourcing Specialists who facilitate seasonal costing deliverables and model commercialization
  • Managing processes and planning workload to ensure timelines are met to support delivery expectations
  • Overseeing finished goods product costing negotiations and procedures
  • Managing the commercialization and development of multi-sourced models
  • Translating long range strategies to drive seasonal allocation and execution priorities
  • Supporting the sourcing and assessment and onboarding of new factories needed to support growth, category expansion and flexibility in our supply chain
  • Developing and executing vendor strategies to ensure capabilities and capacity to support the business’ long-term strategic goals
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions
  • Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
  • By working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually)
  • By adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
