Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years serving as a COMSEC account manager either in the US military or private industry.
  • Must have an active TopSecret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A Special Background Investigation (SBI) is required with favorable adjudication by a determining authority.
  • Must have a KMI course certificate.
  • Must have a Standardized COMSEC Custodian course certificate.
  • U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
Responsibilities
  • Ensure COMSEC accounts are in strict compliance with physical security, COMSEC record keeping, and proper handling of and storage of classified keying material policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for receipt, storage, inventory, transfer, and destruction of all classified COMSEC material, cryptographic key, and control cryptographic items.
  • Manages the five elements of the COMSEC operations, which include: Cryptographic Security, Transmission Security (TRANSEC), Physical Security, Emission Security (EMSEC), and Traffic Flow Security.
  • Collaborates with other security and I.T. positions including the Facility Security Officer supporting US Government programs.

  • Bonus: Completion of standardized FSO training course (e.g., FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities).
