Experience Level
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA certification
  • 4+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting and progressive ASC 606 accounting experience in-house
  • Thorough knowledge and experience of ASC 606 and GAAP
  • Strong technical accounting background with a keen sense of revenue operations
  • Experience using subscription management system (e.g. Chargebee, Recurly) a plus
  • Ability to perform ASC 606 research and analysis, and document results and conclusions
  • You're a detail-oriented problem solver, with tenacity and no ego that thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Lead monthly close process for all revenue-related accounts (revenue, accounts receivable, deferred revenue, etc.)
  • Manage the day-to-day revenue accounting activities such as revenue system data validation and reconciliation
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Billings and Business Systems teams to develop and deploy a billing and revenue recognition software, while ensuring compliance with ASC 606 requirements
  • Establish and maintain an ASC 606 policy and memo
  • Act as a key stakeholder in managing the company's product catalog, ensuring accurate setup and configuration in our third party billing and revenue recognition software
  • Manage and oversee the accounting of existing revenue streams, while establishing new accounting procedures for new business ventures and revenue streams
  • Strengthen internal controls and enhance processes pertaining to revenue to create an efficient month end close cycle, while maintaining accuracy and integrity in financial reporting
  • Design and implement a review process for new product launches, pricing changes, business partnerships and revenue streams, ensuring appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
  • Prepare and maintain process flows and documentation for all revenue streams and use cases
  • Develop strong relationships cross functionally with key stakeholders involved in the revenue cycle
  • Analyze revenue and margin trends
  • Manage accounts receivable and cash application and implement monthly revenue to cash data reconciliations
