Applied launches agentic email-to-quote channel.

Applied launches agentic email-to-quote channel. August 18, 2026 Applied Systems, a provider of insurance software, has launched a new agentic email-to-quote submission channel designed to help carriers automatically quote on business submitted by brokers via email. The offering is powered by Cytora, Applied's agentic AI platform built for carriers, and works by converting unstructured broker email submissions into carrier-ready quotes without the need for manual intake. The system ingests a broker's email submission, extracts and structures the underlying risk data, then classifies and prices it while applying each carrier's own underwriting rules and risk appetite. A quote, decline or referral is then sent back to the broker by email, threaded against the original message, effectively turning a carrier's inbox into a straight-through-processing channel. For carriers, the tool is intended to cut quoting and response times from days to minutes, regardless of the agency management system a broker is using, while helping to improve win rates on email-submitted business that sits outside a portal or API connection. Applied says it should also lift underwriting quality and response times, boosting carriers' ability to win business submitted through this route. Brokers, meanwhile, stand to benefit from a simplified email submission process within their existing workflows, cutting out much of the time otherwise spent navigating multiple carrier portals and commercial raters, while gaining quicker access to additional markets with less friction in getting submissions in front of carriers. The email-to-quote channel currently supports admitted small commercial lines everywhere carrier straight-through-processing APIs are available. Lines covered at launch include Business Owners Policy, General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Cyber, Professional Liability, Inland Marine and Umbrella, with further lines expected to be added in due course. Applied Carrier general manager Katarina Pregelj said, "Applied connects the insurance lifecycle, and leveraging Cytora's agentic AI, we are now able to help carriers reach commercial submissions wherever they enter it, including the broker email traffic that has never had a path to automation. "Email-to-quote lets carriers open a new distribution channel without adding intake headcount or BPO spend, so they can win business while the deal is still live." Enjoying the stories? Investors. The system ingests unstructured broker emails, extracts and structures risk data, applies underwriting requirements, and returns quotes, declines, or referrals without manual intervention. The solution accelerates carrier response times from days to minutes and eliminates the need for brokers to navigate multiple carrier portals. It currently supports admitted small commercial lines including Business Owners Policy, General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Cyber, Professional Liability, Inland Marine, and Umbrella wherever carrier straight-through-processing APIs are available. Applied Systems expands Employee Navigator integration.

Applied Systems expands Employee Navigator integration. Enhanced native integration between Applied Epic and Employee Navigator accelerates the plan building process from hours to minutes, further enabling end-to-end quote to enroll for benefits brokers. Applied Systems(R) announced an expanded integration with Employee Navigator, a leading benefits administration, HR and compliance software provider, giving agencies a native, direct path to seamlessly transfer plan data between Applied Epic and Employee Navigator. This expanded integration enables benefits brokers to eliminate the daily toil of manual data re-entry while significantly reducing errors and omissions risks and the complexity in the quote to enroll workflow. "Manual data entry between systems slows brokers down and creates room for errors," said George Reese, founder and CEO of Employee Navigator. "With this integration, plan data stays in sync automatically, so brokers can focus on serving their customers instead of manual data entry. It's exactly the kind of seamless experience we want to deliver as we grow our partnership with Applied Systems." The enhanced integration eliminates the duplicate data entry brokers perform today when setting up a plan in two systems. After plan details are auto populated into Applied Epic via its AI document extraction capabilities, the data can be pushed directly into Employee Navigator, reducing time spent searching manually, typing, and jumping between systems by 80%. "At Applied, we are laser-focused on leveraging AI and automation to create a simpler, more efficient way for benefits brokers to manage each stage of the benefits lifecycle," said Tammi Shapiro, senior vice president and general manager of Benefits Solutions, Applied Systems. "We are excited to expand our partnership with Employee Navigator so we can enable our broker customers to focus less on data administration, and more on the hero work of providing the best service and protection for clients."
