Requirements
  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • A current Certified Information Systems Security Professional or Certified Information Security Manager certification is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology and 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including experience supporting Risk Management Framework activities for Department of War systems.
  • Practical, hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with experience in identity and access management, virtual private cloud networking, Kubernetes, and cloud security services.
  • Strong knowledge of containerized environments such as Docker and Kubernetes and container security best practices.
  • Familiarity with generative artificial intelligence technologies, including large language models and artificial intelligence/machine learning security considerations.
  • Deep understanding of National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53, Department of Defense Risk Management Framework, Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program, and other relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience writing and maintaining Risk Management Framework artifacts such as System Security Plans, Plans of Action and Milestones, and Security Assessment Reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with security risk assessments in Department of War environments.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support Risk Management Framework activities throughout categorization, control selection, implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring.
  • Provide guidance on Department of War cloud security policies, National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53 controls, Committee on National Security Systems policies, Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide, and artificial intelligence-specific guidance.
  • Conduct security architecture reviews and security engineering analysis for cloud-native and containerized workloads hosted in Microsoft Azure.
  • Evaluate security controls associated with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration platforms within Microsoft Azure.
  • Assess security risks related to generative artificial intelligence components, including large language models and artificial intelligence/machine learning workloads, ensuring responsible and compliant use.
  • Develop and maintain System Security Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Plans of Action and Milestones, and related Risk Management Framework documentation.
  • Perform threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and risk analysis tailored to cloud environments and artificial intelligence technologies.
  • Interface with system architects, developers, and DevSecOps teams to integrate security throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Support security control assessments and coordinate with third-party assessors.
  • Monitor, track, and report on security compliance posture through continuous monitoring processes.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced cloud security certifications, such as Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Cloud Certified Security Professional, or an Azure equivalent.
  • Experience integrating DevSecOps pipelines with Risk Management Framework compliance processes.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for Risk Management Framework documentation and control testing, such as Xacta, eMASS, and OpenRMF.
