Position Description:
We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Taylor office. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and zero to three years of experience. Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication/coordination skills are essential. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Prepares scaled work order maps using Computer Aided Design software (CAD), Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and other client design systems.
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Conduct on-site observations as needed
- Maintain multiple project assignments
- Verify field survey notes
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Assist Project Managers
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
Skills/Experience:
- 0 to 3 years of related experience required
- Completion of Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam preferred
- Knowledge of GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
