Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in related roles such as EV infrastructure, sustainability, or mobility platforms
  • Expert-level understanding of charging infrastructure deployment including costs, utility timelines, permitting requirements, and public funding options within at least one major geographic region
  • Multi-year experience managing a charging business with both financial and operational considerations including pricing structures, service requirements, and business structures
  • Proven ability to structure and establish multiple custom business partnerships, from initial development to ongoing issue resolution
Responsibilities
  • Build Uber’s consolidated approach to EV charging with consideration of and alignment from local teams across the globe
  • Propose and drive executive buy-in to charging strategies
  • Execute on EV charging initiatives to support Uber’s overall Sustainability goals across both our Mobility and Delivery business units
  • Partner with internal teams across product, engineering, finance, policy, and communications
  • Partner with external experts, businesses, and industry groups, as needed
  • Coordinate with AV partners, as needed, to support charging deployment
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with EV charging infrastructure across multiple, unique global geographies
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EV charging value stream from operators, to customers, to platform providers, to utilities
  • Understanding of key interoperability frameworks and industry standards
  • Familiarity with new or alternative technologies (e.g., battery swapping)
