The Role
You’ll be our direct liaison to customers, partners, and other stakeholders across the National Security space. You’ll shape early requirements, align our products and solutions with the most pressing needs of our end-users, and shepherd our projects through acquisition and execution. You’ll lead the drafting of compliant and compelling proposals, support contract development, and partner with others on the K2 Space team to ensure end-to-end mission success.
Responsibilities
Lead proposal efforts for all national security customers including responding to opportunities, scoping contracts, and collaborating with internal stakeholders for technical definitions
Nurture and maintain a network of customers, partners, and stakeholders in the national security space
Partner with the diverse teams within K2 (engineering, sales, legal, IT, and security) to drive toward spacecraft vehicle readiness, assess change impacts, develop mission CONOPS, and proactively track schedules
Communicate with K2 executives, management, and customers about the overall program schedule, and facilitate major customer reviews and deliverables
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline
5+ years of professional experience in the national security space
4+ years of technical program or project management experience
Prior experience supporting proposal and contract management efforts
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience negotiating technical deliverables or scope
Active security clearance or the ability and willingness to pursue one
Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
Nice to Have
Degree in an engineering or science discipline
Full project lifecycle experience, preferably with spacecraft, and preferably within the DoD acquisitions system
Operational experience with the US National Security community
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range for this role is $125k - $185k + equity in the company
Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level
