Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • The candidate must meet applicable department certification and licensing requirements.
  • Knowledge of operational management, including optimizing day-to-day operations and processes for efficiency and effectiveness, is required.
  • Ability to implement organizational-development strategies, improve organizational effectiveness and engagement, and manage change is required.
  • Knowledge of financial operations and management is required.
  • Ability to create and maintain a cohesive and productive team environment, build positive working relationships, and collaborate with others is required.
  • Proficiency with office software, technology, and relevant computer applications is required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for EPIC Willow, Pyxis/Omnicell, and business-intelligence tools to optimize pharmacy systems.
  • Lead system validation, workflow enhancements, and dispense logic in collaboration with Information Technology and business-intelligence teams.
  • Oversee reporting logic, data integrity, and user-access governance across the enterprise.
  • Support the implementation of automated dispensing units, barcode medication administration, radio-frequency identification technology, and centralized distribution systems.
  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of enterprise dashboards and pharmacy Command Center tools.
  • Lead compliance monitoring, auditing, and reporting for clinical and medication workflows.
  • Develop performance reports for time-critical medications, barcode compliance, and clinical overrides.
  • Conduct controlled-substance audits and ensure timely resolution of inventory variances.
  • Support regulatory compliance, diversion monitoring, and enterprise-wide opioid-stewardship initiatives.
  • Partner with Nursing and Quality teams to improve clinical documentation and medication-administration performance.
  • Lead pharmacy revenue analytics and charge-capture validation to optimize reimbursement.
  • Analyze prescription trends and financial data to identify revenue leakage and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor drug spending, pricing trends, utilization, and shortages to drive financial performance.
  • Build productivity and inventory-analytics dashboards to support staffing and operational planning.
  • Establish and continuously assess the effectiveness of internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Ensure employees are trained on controls and University policies and procedures.
