Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of business operations management and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management competencies, including financial competence, operational excellence, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong business acumen; exposure to multiple modalities is a plus.
  • Demonstrated practice of continuous quality improvement and relationship development.
  • Skills in team building, motivating employees, performance management, and decision making.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned locations, including occasional out-of-area and overnight travel.
Responsibilities
  • Direct, administer, and oversee the day-to-day operations of dialysis facilities and programs within the assigned geographic area.
  • Oversee quality patient care, customer relations, marketing, fiscal management, and operational strategies across assigned facilities and programs.
  • Lead the development and implementation of area strategic plans, goals, objectives, quality goals, and action plans.
  • Provide leadership support and guidance to facility and program managers and support staff.
  • Provide ongoing informal feedback and conduct formal annual performance evaluations.
  • Manage staffing, including hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with Human Resources.
  • Mentor, guide, support, and provide subject matter expertise to direct supervisory reports.
  • Ensure employees receive required training, education, and compliance training.
  • Coordinate communications and meetings among managers and staff across the assigned area and division.
  • Maintain relationships with Medical Directors, Medical Advisory Board members, referring physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Preside over the facility Governing Body.
  • Address adverse events and action thresholds within the area of responsibility.
  • Develop clinical and program budgets and monitor performance for efficient operations.
  • Manage profit and loss for assigned clinics, programs, and areas.
  • Manage payroll and oversee facility expenses and accounts payable.
  • Review financial statements, revenue growth, commercial payer mix, performance data, and productivity data.
  • Implement business initiatives and corrective action plans for underperforming clinics and programs.
  • Ensure efficient performance against operating budgets, business plans, key performance indicators, and profit goals.
  • Coordinate logistics associated with patient care within the assigned area.
  • Support joint venture operations, board meetings, management meetings, mergers, acquisitions, and related compliance activities.
  • Monitor healthcare market and industry issues and use product, service, and strategy knowledge to market the company and grow the business.
  • Work with clinical and program managers to increase appropriate home therapy utilization while balancing in-center and home programs.
  • Maintain environmental integrity and safety of facilities and water systems.
  • Maintain administrative policy and procedure manuals.
  • Oversee privacy and security compliance.
  • Prepare reports and audit procedures and processes to monitor operational efficiency.
  • Practice risk management strategies and collaborate with legal counsel to resolve legal issues and reduce company exposure.
