Requirements
  • BS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 10-15 years’ experience in new product development
  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering processes including design by requirements, traceability, and verification and validation
  • Experience in product design from concept to production
  • Ability to lead project teams to deliver complex programs and strong engineering project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and technical writing experience

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of software systems engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with multiple teams delivering together
  • Lead the management of scope throughout the development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with business leaders, design, architecture, product security, and development teams to elicit, decompose, and manage technical requirements that meet customer, marketing, and internal stakeholder needs
  • Work with business and engineering leaders to plan and communicate budget, resources, and schedule throughout the program
  • Contribute to agile planning ceremonies, ensuring the agile software teams can meet the delivery needs required by the business
  • Present design trade-offs as necessary to ensure the highest level of product performance and quality when considering product cost, manufacturability, sustainability, and available technologies
  • Ensure designs meet product requirements (functional, cost, quality, reliability, etc.) and that requirement risks are evaluated and mitigated early in the process
  • Lead the effort to define Operational Concepts for Allegion’s software solutions
  • Work with key stakeholders to define interface control documents (ICDs) for Allegion’s software solutions
  • Coordinate creation of engineering development timelines and track development activities to meet delivery and cost commitments
  • Lead Risk Management for engineering deliverables
  • Lead Technical Design Reviews at all product development process milestones highlighting engineering progress, issues, and risks
  • Lead problem-solving activities utilizing the appropriate tools, such as fault-tree analysis, 5-why analysis, and fishbone diagrams to get to the root cause
  • Provide clear communications to technical team members as well as to other leaders and managers
Desired Qualifications
  • Masters in Systems Engineering or INCOSE CSEP Certification preferred
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity methods and protocols
  • Experience with cloud service architectures (AWS, Azure) and low-power wireless communications products (WiFi, Bluetooth LE, Zigbee, ZWave, etc)
  • Experience with mobile apps

Allegion acquires DCI Hollow Metal on Demand to expand West Coast presence

Allegion, a global security products provider, has acquired DCI Hollow Metal on Demand, a Los Angeles-based manufacturer of custom hollow metal doors and frames. Financial terms were not disclosed. DCI produces quick-ship solutions for industrial, commercial and institutional markets, serving hospitals, government buildings, schools, universities and stadiums. The company will operate within Allegion's Americas segment. DCI CEO Bob Briggs will serve in an advisory role during the transition. The acquisition strengthens Allegion's mechanical portfolio and expands its West Coast presence. DCI joins Allegion's doors and frames portfolio, which includes brands like Steelcraft, Republic Doors and Krieger Specialty Products. Allegion reported $4.1 billion in revenue in 2025.

JPMorgan cuts Allegion price target to $180 but maintains Overweight rating despite growth headwinds

JPMorgan has lowered its price target on Allegion plc to $180 from $190 whilst maintaining an Overweight rating, citing resilient margin performance despite growth challenges. The adjustment follows the company's fourth-quarter results released on 17 February. Allegion reported Q4 revenue exceeding $1 billion, up 9.3% year-on-year, with adjusted earnings per share of $1.94 and an adjusted operating margin of 22.4%. Full-year available cash flow reached $685.7 million. The company returned $175 million in dividends and $80 million in share repurchases to shareholders, whilst deploying approximately $630 million on acquisitions. For 2026, Allegion guided adjusted EPS to $8.70–$8.90, with total revenue expected to grow 5%–7%, driven by electronics and non-residential segments.
