Requirements
  • Associate's degree and 2 years of relevant experience required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
  • Supports the design, implementation and monitoring of a variety of human resource programs.
  • Anticipates and plans for day-to-day human resources needs and trends in partnership with business management.
  • Identifies problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions.
  • Ensures appropriate authorization obtained, tracks requisitions HR for approvals and notifies departments of any delays.
  • Coordinates with Human Resources when new positions arrive without human resources review.
  • Reviews content of functional job description for posting to ensure minimum requirements match the University generic description.
  • Follows systems procedures to ensure postings are processed according to established guidelines.
  • Provides customer service and support in answering phones, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
  • Takes messages and answers questions as appropriate.
  • Triages calls and emails to appropriate Human Resources offices or appropriate staff.
  • Provides Human Resources administrative support as needed.
  • Provides and reviews forms, applications, and brochures to customers by mail, email, or in person.
  • Assists with the completion of forms.
  • Opens, sorts, stamps, scans, and distributes both regular and priority mail.
  • Other duties as assigned.
