About the team: This team supports our CopLogic product. CopLogic is a suite of software solutions designed to assist law enforcement agencies in efficiently managing and processing police reports, particularly related to traffic incidents and citizen-reported events. It streamlines data collection, reporting, and case management to reduce administrative burdens and improve accuracy.
About the role: The Quality Test Engineer I is an entry-level position in Quality Assurance that is responsible for learning QA methodologies and assisting in ensuring compliance. Working alongside team members in an agile environment and apply technical, analytical, and communication skills toward maintaining, improving, and automating high quality test cases in a fast-moving organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing testing for diverse projects to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification.
- Constructing, executing, and documenting test plans and test cases/scripts including regression, integration, certification, and load testing as appropriate in a manner consistent with team standards.
- Identifying areas for automation improvement and translating needs into robust, scalable, high-quality solutions.
- Automation script development – create, maintain, and enhance existing scripts, - Investigate, analyze, document and fix reported issues. Maintain a high level of software/script quality.
- Identifying opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs. Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate.
- Successfully implement test development processes, coding/scripting best practices, and code reviews
Requirements
- Proven expertise in testing tools such as Selenium3, TestNG, JUnit, Grid, Cucumber BDD framework, Maven.
- Experience testing applications written in Java and Javascript - New development utilizing technologies such as java, python, VB, SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, linux, GIT or any other software version control, Selenium, HP ALM, Zephyr, etc.- Proven experience in creating test frameworks using technologies above.
- Experience using GitLab/GitHub for source control and development.
- Expertise in developing external customer functions using Description Programming with UFT.
- Proven experience in test plan creation, test case design, test case review, test case execution, defect management, and Preparing test reports.
- Proficient using Zephyr for test planning, execution, and defect tracking.
- Knowledge and experience using SOAP services testing and tools used such as Ready API/SoapUI Pro)
- Possess the ability to identify cause and cure for complex bug fixes
