Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or educational equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience providing support to a small to medium operational unit, including operational duties rather than only administrative duties, are required.
  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications is required.
  • Knowledge of office management practices and procedures is required.
  • Cultural competency and the ability to communicate effectively in a culturally sensitive manner with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds are required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide variety of operations support activities and handle clerical, office, and administrative functions for a designated operational unit.
  • Respond to telephone, in-person, and electronic inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Receive and distribute manufactured products and investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Enter and maintain data in organizational operational and administrative software.
  • Coordinate with logistics on delivery of patient orders.
  • Run inventory reports, make stocking recommendations, purchase needed supplies, and maintain supply levels.
  • Maintain departmental records, including payroll, training, customer order information, delivery tickets, proof of delivery, and storage records in physical and electronic formats.
  • Complete daily administrative reviews, produce correspondence, oversee office-supply ordering, maintain forms and required materials, and process accounts-payable forms, purchase orders, and requisitions.
  • Work independently or with a team on special projects and committees as assigned.
  • Protect confidential and proprietary patient, financial, and operational information in accordance with federal HIPAA laws and NYBC confidentiality requirements.
  • Adhere to NYBC quality standards.
