QIAGEN welcomes Jonathan M. Pratt as Chief Executive Officer.

QIAGEN welcomes Jonathan M. Pratt as Chief Executive Officer. * August 25, 2026 QIAGEN appointed Jonathan M. Pratt as Chief Executive Officer today. Consequently, Pratt assumes operational leadership starting September 1, 2026. He brings over 25 years of global management experience across life sciences, healthcare, and laboratory systems. Most recently, Pratt guided Filtration Group through its acquisition by Parker-Hannifin Corporation in August 2026. Previously, he managed the Waters Division at Waters Corporation as Senior Vice President. He also led Beckman Coulter Life Sciences as President after serving in executive leadership at Pall Corporation. Furthermore, Pratt's deep experience encompasses analytical instruments, software, consumables, services, and bioprocessing applications. "The Supervisory Board unanimously concluded that Jon Pratt is the right leader for QIAGEN's next phase," said Stephen H. Rusckowski, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of QIAGEN. "Jon combines deep knowledge of our markets with a strong international record of strengthening commercial execution and operational performance. His experience across life sciences and laboratory technologies is directly relevant to QIAGEN's portfolio and customers. Building on our strong foundation, we are confident he will advance our commitment to solid profitable growth. On behalf of the Supervisory Board, I also want to thank Thierry Bernard for his leadership, his many contributions to QIAGEN and his support in ensuring continuity during this transition." "QIAGEN is an iconic and trusted brand in life sciences and molecular diagnostics, built on scientific rigor, quality and technologies that support critical laboratory workflows worldwide," Jon Pratt said. "What attracted me to QIAGEN is the combination of talented teams, a differentiated portfolio and close customer relationships. My first priority will be to listen to QIAGEN teams and customers, learn more about the business and understand where we can sharpen our choices, strengthen execution and create greater impact. I look forward to working with the team to advance our vision of making improvements in life possible." Navigating strategic review and sustained growth. Furthermore, outgoing CEO Thierry Bernard steps down as Managing Director and supports smooth transition operations through late 2026. Meanwhile, QIAGEN reaffirmed its financial guidance for the third quarter and full year 2026. The Supervisory Board continuously evaluates strategic review options with independent advisors to maximize shareholder value relative to standalone growth goals. A seamless changeover of life science executives' leadership helps ensure continuity in global health care markets. There is a need for continual innovation in molecular diagnostics to stay ahead in the competitive market. Good management of lab technology helps scientists operate more effectively in diagnostics. Qiagen names new CEO as private equity sale talks advance.

Qiagen names new CEO as private equity sale talks advance. * August 25, 2026 * - 9:21 am Qiagen has appointed Jonathan Pratt as CEO, bringing in an executive with recent experience overseeing a multibillion-dollar sale as the European molecular diagnostics company considers a potential takeover by private equity firms, according to a report by Bloomberg. The report cites a company statement as revealing that Pratt, who most recently led Filtration Group, where he helped guide the industrial technology company through its recent $9.25bn cash sale to Parker Hannifin, will succeed Thierry Bernard as CEO on 1 September. His appointment comes as Qiagen moves further into a strategic review that could result in the company being acquired. The business has opened a data room, allowing prospective buyers to examine its operations and financials as part of their due diligence, according to people familiar with the matter. EQT and KKR are among the firms assessing potential bids, with some prospective buyers also considering partnerships with strategic industry players, the people said. Discussions remain ongoing and there is no guarantee that any interested party will ultimately submit an offer. Qiagen's shares were trading 3.4% lower at $42.57 in New York on Monday, valuing the company at about $8.8bn. Earlier reports indicated that some potential bidders had considered offers of at least $50 a share. The company provides molecular testing technologies and services to pharmaceutical companies, research organisations and clinical laboratories. A takeover would rank among Europe's larger healthcare transactions this year and could bring an end to years of speculation over Qiagen's ownership.
