The Role:
Medely is currently seeking a Payroll Analyst to add to our growing Financial Operations team. This is a high impact, individual contributor role that will report directly to the Manger, Payroll and will partner with our Accounting, Human Resources and Invoicing teams.
What you’ll do:
Develop insightful reporting and perform ad hoc analysis on payroll activity and its impact on other departments (i.e. invoicing, accounting, HR, FP&A). Will need to combine datasets from multiple systems to identify and resolve discrepancies on a regular basis. Strong Excel data analysis and basic SQL proficiency required.
Perform payroll to cash reconciliations and generate payroll journal entries. Liaison between the payroll team and accounting. Requires solid understanding of how payroll interacts with the general ledger. You don’t need to be an accountant, but you need to understand debits and credits and how to create payroll accounting journal entries.
Serve as our internal SME for payroll taxes; ensure both Medely and Frontline Health are current on all payroll taxes, monitor and confirm all new state registrations are complete, research new locality taxes and provide information to payroll provider; confirm monthly/quarterly that taxes have been paid by payroll provider.
Requirements:
4+ years progressive experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or other analytical discipline
Payroll and payroll tax experience required
Meticulous attention to detail with strong communication skills
Proven ability to self-direct and quickly respond to changing priorities
Advanced proficiency in Excel and basic proficiency with SQL

The expected compensation for this role is $77,000-$88,000.
