- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Accurately perform and record procedures, including vital signs, weight, and blood pressure.
- Accurately perform electrocardiograms.
- Safely supervise common patient areas.
- Participate in selected group activities.
- Safely assist with activities of daily living, psychiatric emergencies or rapid response teams, and restraint application and monitoring.
- Complete and document rounds as directed.
- Interact therapeutically and respectfully with patients, their family members, and staff.
- Promote positive working relationships with peers and others.
- Float to all hospital units, including the psychiatric unit, as part of the Clinical Associate Float Pool.
- Experience working with the mentally ill population is preferred.
- Previous hospital experience is a plus.
