Employment Hero provides an all-in-one Employment Operating System (eOS) that helps businesses hire, manage and pay their people more efficiently. Its platform brings together HR, payroll, recruitment and employee engagement tools in a single solution, reducing administrative burden and helping organisations build more productive, engaged teams. The company supports more than 350,000 businesses globally and manages employment for over 2.5 million people, with a mission to make employment easier, more valuable and more rewarding for everyone. The partnership with Leeds Rhinos reflects a shared focus on people, performance and community. With deep roots in the region, the Rhinos have long played a central role in supporting local communities, both through the club and the work of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, which delivers programmes focused on employment, skills and opportunity. Through this partnership, Employment Hero will work closely with the club to engage and support businesses across Yorkshire. This will include a programme of activity at Headingley Stadium, bringing together local employers to share insights, build connections and learn from high-performing teams in both sport and business. Maisie Goss, UK VP Marketing at Employment Hero, said: "As a business, we exist to make employment easier for organisations and their teams. That means helping businesses hire the right people, stay compliant, reduce admin and create better experiences for their employees. "Leeds Rhinos are a club built on community, opportunity and hard work - values that closely align with our own. This partnership is about supporting the businesses and people who drive Yorkshire forward, and giving them the tools they need to succeed." Jamie Jones-Buchanan MBE, CEO of Leeds Rhinos, said: "Leeds Rhinos has always been about more than what happens on the pitch. We are proud of the role we play in the community, particularly when it comes to supporting people into employment and creating opportunities. "Employment Hero shares that commitment. Their platform is helping businesses manage and support their people in a better way and we're excited to work together to support organisations and communities across the region."
Employment Hero has launched its Recruitment Agent powered by Hero AI, reducing screening time by 75% for Canadian small and medium-sized businesses. The AI-driven tool automates first-round screening through structured video interviews with voice-prompted, role-specific questions that assess cognitive, vocational and cultural fit. Built into Employment Hero's Employment Operating System, the agent adapts in real time, prompting candidates for clarification when needed. Hiring teams receive AI-generated summaries and scorecards whilst maintaining final decision control. The technology can cut up to 10 days from the hiring process. Calgary-based BigGeo used the agent during beta testing to manage application surges across finance, sales and technical roles. The Recruitment Agent is now available to all Employment Hero customers in Canada.
Employment Hero names new APAC MD. The Australian HR tech start-up welcomed a new managing director to spearhead its operations across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. 25 March 2026 - By Carlos Tse - 8 minutes read Employment Hero has promoted James Keene (pictured) to managing director of the company's APAC operations to drive execution across Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia. Keene joined start-up Employment Hero in April 2015 as business development manager, and since then has climbed the ranks, moving into five further positions before he departed from his role as general manager of revenue for ANZ in February this year. In his previous role as general manager of revenue for ANZ, Keene helped to accelerate growth and strengthen the foundations required to scale the business's operations. Before joining Employment Hero over a decade ago, Keene served at the professional recruitment consultancy firm Michael Page International, leaving his final role as Team Lead in March 2015. Employment Hero said that Keene's appointment emphasises the company's investment in its home country and its most established market, Australia, as well as its expansion across New Zealand and Southeast Asia. With over a decade of experience leading commercial teams, Keene's role will entail executing strategy across go-to-market, customer experience, product adoption, and team performance. "James is a trusted leader who understands what it takes to scale responsibly while staying anchored to our mission. SEEK's venture arm has launched a process to sell its stake in HR software platform Employment Hero, months after resolving a Federal Court dispute over platform access. The companies described the move as a natural stage in the investment lifecycle. SEEK has backed Employment Hero since 2017 and participated in multiple funding rounds. The platform has surpassed $300 million in annual recurring revenue and supports over 350,000 businesses globally. SEEK sold a $95 million portion of its stake to KKR last year and is now divesting its remaining holding. The sale follows a legal dispute after SEEK moved to terminate Employment Hero's job posting API access. The matter was discontinued in January after Employment Hero accepted SEEK's decision was not anti-competitive, and the integration was reinstated.
