Innotech Summer Undergraduate Internship

Position Summary

This program is an 11-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

The summer internship program is from May 28 – August 8, 2025. 
 
CVS Health follows a 3 day in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.  

Our office locations for this role will be Hartford, CT. A housing stipend may be provided, based on eligibility, and interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23.00, with 40 hours per week, July 4th off (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed below.

About the Business Area  

Aetna IT is responsible for developing and supporting both internally and externally facing applications and products for Aetna's business, IT partners, and affiliates. What you will do  

Possible work experiences include

• Participation in analytics development to identify and resolve data inaccuracies that have negative effects on claim adjudication and the provider relationship
• Contribution to specific coding efforts for ongoing work that aligns with intern's areas of interest
• Support a wide array of applications and technologies that perform mission critical functions for the CVS Health Care Business, such as Provider contracting, Provider directories/demographic data updates, and claim adjudication
•  Involvement in Project Delivery, Program/Project Management, Scrum/Agile Teams, Enterprise Business Architecture, Enterprise Integrations, Emerging Technology and New Products, Strategy/Investment Planning, Operations & Compliance, Quality Assurance & Testing

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.  

Required Qualifications

• Meet Education Requirements (see Education section)
• Programming Experience w/ Java, Springboot, .Net Technologies, Cobol or SalesForce
• Experience analyzing data
• Problem solving skills
• Knowledge of Agile Processes'

 
Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience (e.g., student organizations, sports, or work-related projects)
• An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation 
• Internship or work experience in a related field
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
• COBOL, SQL, Data Mgt, IBM DB2, Java/Selenium, .Net, SalesForce
• Data Analytics & strong SQL or Database Concepts
• Knowledge on Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure)
• Knowledge in using Github/CICD technology

Education

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026
• Preferred majors include Computer Science. Engineering, Management Information Systems, Math, Analytics, Management
