Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent is a requirement.
  • Fifteen (15) years of experience leading or supporting projects in construction, manufacturing, or engineering services.
  • Understanding of project delivery methodology, including earned value, critical path scheduling, prime contract and subcontract management, procurement and supply chain methodology, and inspection and test plans; familiarity with large engineering, procurement and construction work including subcontracts and prime contract management.
  • Nuclear experience is an asset.
  • Nuclear supply chain understanding is expected.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and nuclear safety culture.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and execution strategies.
  • Define project scope and deliverables in accordance with contract documents and client requirements.
  • Establish work breakdown structures (WBS), execution plans, and performance benchmarks.
  • Assemble and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary project team across engineering, architecture, construction, and support functions.
  • Foster collaboration and clear communication among all stakeholders to ensure project cohesion and success.
  • Maintain supervisory organizational structure and oversee career development of assigned project personnel.
  • Recruit, interview, and select staff with appropriate skills; coordinate with functional managers to implement training and development programs.
  • Make informed decisions on human resource matters, working closely with Labour Relations to resolve performance issues.
  • Manage all aspects of contract administration, including scope control, change management, and subcontractor/vendor oversight.
  • Conduct rigorous risk analysis using industry best practices such as Monte Carlo simulations and contingency draw-down curves.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and governance standards.
  • Enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all project activities.
  • Develop and implement safety programs, training initiatives, and corrective action plans to uphold performance excellence.
  • Accountable for all aspects of nuclear and industrial safety, including compliance with corporate and client safety programs.
  • Lead development and enforcement of training, corrective action programs, and performance standards related to safety.
  • Apply key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess project health and progress.
  • Establish robust reporting protocols to meet contract, corporate, and stakeholder oversight requirements.
  • Oversee procurement strategies, contract scope, change control, and flow-down requirements from parent contracts to subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure governance and compliance throughout the supply chain.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with corporate ethics, cybersecurity standards, import-export regulations, intellectual property protections, and security clearance protocols.
Desired Qualifications
  • MBA is an asset.
  • Experience with Nuclear Reactor new design and construction projects is an asset.
  • Reading and understanding construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications is an asset.
  • Knowledge of nuclear supply chain principles is desirable.
  • Ability to build and inspire large teams greater than 100 full-time equivalents is desirable.

AtkinsRéalis Group, a world-class engineering services and nuclear company, reported fourth-quarter revenue of $2.9 billion, up 13% year-over-year, with full-year revenue reaching $11.0 billion, up 14%. AtkinsRéalis Services revenue increased 17% in Q4 and 16% for the full year. The company achieved diluted earnings per share from Professional Services & Project Management of $2.14 for 2025, up 80%, whilst adjusted diluted EPS reached $3.36, up 88%. Full-year operating cash flow totalled $461 million, and backlog reached a record $21.2 billion as at 31 December 2025. For 2026, AtkinsRéalis expects Engineering Services Regions organic revenue growth of 5-7% and Nuclear revenue of approximately $2.5 billion. Operating cash flow is projected at roughly $500 million.

Ferrovial Buys 5.06% 407 ETR Stake

Ferrovial is set to increase its stake in 407 ETR to 48.29% by acquiring up to 5.06% from AtkinsRéalis for [CAD]2.09 billion. The deal includes a 3.30% acquisition at closing and a 1.76% deferred stake via a put and call option.
