Senior Product Manager - Extensibility
About you…
You have a passion for innovation and want to build new products and services in the realm of the Identity? You love working with your engineering team, solving difficult problems, and transforming vision to product? You have a passion for taking new offerings to market. You know how to build lightweight business cases while working in agile environments that require educated decisions and rapid execution? You prefer to get products in the hands of users as early as possible to get feedback on features and functionality and fail fast? You can filter through client, sales, customer engineering and partner feedback to figure out what makes sense for the vision of the product and for the user? Importantly you’re not afraid to get it wrong and ask for help when you need it. We’re a team and we win together.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager who can help us take User Experience at ForgeRock to the next level by streamlining user journeys and simplifying life for developers, end users, administrators, and other key personas of the system. The ideal candidate is somebody who is passionate about security, user experience, technology, and has a strong business drive.
Your initial focus will be Platform Extensibility, helping both internal and external developers to enrich the strongest Identity and Access Management Platform on the market.
What you’ll be doing…
- Responsible for understanding customer needs, creating, and prioritizing the backlog, and interfacing with the engineering team to build world class features on top of a cloud solution
- Work with customers to gather requirements and feedback
- Work closely with User Experience Researchers to understand and streamline user journeys
- Create and communicate a compelling roadmap that covers both feature/functionality as well as non-functional characteristics
- Develop and launch new features delivered in the ForgeRock Platform
- Track industry trends to think ahead strategically and deliver differentiated solutions
- Participate in business development and product marketing for your features
- Measure and monitor the performance of your features, and create strategies and plans to continue strong growth
- Create strong relationships cross-functionally with sales, sales engineering, product marketing
- Communicate frequently and clearly with other teams and leaders
- Nurture and support team energy and morale
- Use data driven methods for building requirements and measuring success
- Work cross-functionality with other teams and PMs to ensure that dependencies are understood

- Expert in product management roles or equivalent.
- Expert in streamlining user journeys and working with UX researchers
- Comfortable about technology and credible in front of technical stakeholders (developers, solution architects, etc.)
- Experience in identity & access management is desired
- Demonstrated success for launching features to market
- Experience working with large enterprise customers and delivering services to meet enterprise customer needs
- Great track record of working with engineering and design teams: people want to work with you again!
- Exceptional communicator with a strong ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders, employees, customers, and the team
- Experience working within a distributed team, across time zones
- Strong analytical skills paired with a data-informed mindset
- Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products
- Deep customer empathy and curiosity
- Passion for solving problems (large and small) - You bring a design thinking mindset
- Outstanding written and verbal communication - Able to work effectively at all levels, with knowledge to be credible in all business situations.
- Self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
- Capable of decomposing a big vision into bite-size milestones
- Experience in delivery of cloud based, SaaS services is a plus
