About the Role

You will lead the product team responsible for defining the major feature requirements & deployment roadmap for entire Autonomy System:

• Remote Assistance / Operation: define Remote Assistance system scope and interface with Autonomy. Design roadmap for increasing levels of independence for Autonomy System.
• New Feature Development: define product requirements and deployment roadmap for major new autonomy features and scopes (eg. nighttime driving, parking lots). Define and build pipelines to measure readiness metrics. Define validation process and drive feature development to onroad deployment.
• Autonomy Difficulty Framework: collaborate with systems to define data-driven set of factors that capture the difficulty of any given scenario. Drive usage across validation, mileage collect, operational deployment, and scope definition.
• Overall Deployment Roadmap: You will be the point of coordination between autonomy development and commercial goals. You will define our overall deployment roadmap and timeline: where we will deploy, with what features, on what timeline.

In addition to driving the overall vision for Nuro’s autonomy strategy, this is a management position. You will be expected to guide the work of an existing team of 4 PMs, and continue to recruit and expand the team over time.

About You

• 4+ years of PM or Engineering / Technical Leadership Experience
• Experience with developing one or more of the following kinds of products:
• Safety-critical systems that require significant testing & validation
• “Hard Tech” products that have significant HW and SW components (Robotics, Aerospace, AR/VR, Computer Vision, IoT)
• Experience with originating and launching net new products 
• Prior management experience is a plus

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected pay range is between $152,000 and $228,000/year for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
