Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Human Resources, Sport Management/Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications quickly.
- Comfortable with and able to demonstrate ability to perform advanced functions in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of baseball and the sports industry, able to demonstrate an understanding of the different functions that exist within a baseball operations department
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, humility, and a competitive spirit
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruitment efforts for Baseball Operations, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Update and maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and candidate files.
- Support candidate sourcing efforts ranging from LinkedIn searches to coordinating events such as career fairs.
- Proactively identify and build diverse pipelines of talent. This will include cultivating recruiting partnerships with collegiate baseball and softball programs, HBCUs, HSIs, and other colleges/universities, etc.
- Support onboarding processes for new hires in Baseball Operations including drafting offer letters and ensuring all candidates complete background checks
- Assist with planning and coordinating recruiting events, such as job fairs and career expos and representing The Phillies at the events
- Conduct research and analysis to identify new recruiting sources and strategies for Baseball Operations.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as drafting correspondence and maintaining department records.
- Provide occasional administrative support to department leadership group
