Requirements
  • Troubleshooting skills, quality mindset, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Well-versed in industry standard laboratory equipment hardware and software used in high throughput molecular biology laboratories, including but not limited to custom integrated work cells, liquid handling instruments (Hamilton STAR/STARlet, Agilent Bravo, Dynamic Devices Lynx), scheduling software (Overlord, GBG), and ancillary equipment (centrifuges, cold storage, etc.)
  • Experience in an ISO 13485/15189, GMP, GLP and or CAP/CLIA environment preferred
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience. Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Life Sciences required
  • Familiarity with NGS technologies preferred
  • Biotechnology laboratory automation experience a plus
Responsibilities
  • Follow all SOPs to provide first tier support and error resolution for all hardware and software on our highly-automated laboratory production line in a timely manner and with necessary degree of quality independently
  • Aid in troubleshooting of down systems when an immediate resolution is not available and Independently conduct troubleshooting investigations of down systems when an immediate resolution is not available
  • Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance of production line hardware
  • Qualify new laboratory equipment per SOP
  • Document all repairs, maintenance activities and equipment qualifications
  • Communicate status of production line and support efforts to Shift Supervisor, Team Lead and Production Lab staff
  • Complete training and competency assessments in the required timeframe
  • Other Duties as assigned
