We’re looking for an experienced Surety Broker to be part of the early team for Procore Risk Advisors. Surety is crucial to a contractor’s livelihood, and they deserve a better surety experience. In addition, you will help shape the overall brokerage strategy, go-to-market and be responsible for growth.
What you’ll do:
- As a broker of Procore’s surety brokerage, you will be influential in setting and executing the strategy and driving the go-to-market strategy to ensure we build brand trust and customer loyalty
- You will work collaboratively with a cross-functional team passionate about modernizing the brokerage experience to delight our customers
- Build and maintain preferred capacity relationships to ensure our customers get the best surety products and experience. Engage in product development and innovation with clients and markets
- Develop a rapport with the team and clients to be viewed as a trusted advisor in all aspects of the business
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in the contract surety industry with a detailed understanding of surety underwriting to ensure our customers get the best surety products
- Knowledge of the US regulatory landscape, including broker requirements for distributing surety products and best practices with proper regulatory licensing
- Creative problem solver with excellent analytical skills and proper written and verbal communication skills to influence and motivate others while driving stakeholder alignment
- Willingness to take ownership of initiatives and perform in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an optimistic attitude
- Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines
- Exposure to and passion for early-stage startups and/or high growth environments
- Involvement in construction industry associations
- Current Agent / P&C License
