Requirements
  • Masters and PhD candidates in molecular biology, neuroscience, or related biology programs with hands-on experience in in vitro assays
  • Proficiency in running in vitro assays
  • Hands on experience with in vitro biochemical and cell-based assays including Flowcytometry, Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and Meso Scale Discovery
  • Experience in culturing human primary cells including PBMCs
  • Proficiency in using professional data analysis and visualization software such as Spotfire, Excel and GraphPad Prism
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong motivation and passion for science
  • High level of organizational skills to execute project in timely manner
Responsibilities
  • Employ innovative molecular and cell biology platforms to advance target validation and drug discovery efforts
  • Perform microscopy based high throughput assays and analyze the results
  • Develop and optimize relevant in vitro cellular models for the study of retinal and vascular diseases
  • Work in close collaboration with senior colleagues to design, conduct, troubleshoot, and analyze experimental data for target identification and validation purpose
  • Commitment to experimental excellence and rigor
