Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on engineering experience at an original equipment manufacturer or Tier 1 supplier designing electric motors, gearboxes, batteries, or other electric drive unit subsystems; system-level experience is preferred.
  • Fluency in powertrain simulation tools such as Motor-CAD, Maxwell, JMAG, and Romax, and/or system-level tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or in-house tools.
  • Hands-on proficiency with modern artificial intelligence tooling, including foundation models and large language model-based tools such as Claude or Codex, to build engineering solutions.
  • Direct involvement in an artificial intelligence transformation initiative at a current or previous company, demonstrating that the candidate drove artificial intelligence adoption in engineering practice.

Responsibilities
  • Build data-driven engineering workflows for electric vehicle powertrain applications, including electric motors, gearboxes, batteries, and electric drive units, on the Neural Concept platform.
  • Work with lead customers to understand and solve their challenges.
  • Apply domain knowledge to ensure workflows reflect real engineering practice, constraints, and edge cases.
  • Prototype hands-on using artificial intelligence and machine learning tooling, foundation models, large language model-based coding assistants such as Claude, and Python or computer-aided engineering scripting.
  • Work with computer-aided design, computer-aided engineering, and machine learning engineers to take prototypes from initial versions to production-ready quality.
  • Validate outputs against real-world engineering standards using engineering domain judgment as the quality bar.
  • Feed technical and domain insights into the broader roadmap based on lessons learned while building.
