Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Project Management Professional certification is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it within 18 to 24 months of hire.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in control system project management or control systems engineering, encompassing full project lifecycle responsibilities.
  • Proven competency in managing projects using industry-standard project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse, international organizational structure.
  • Basic knowledge of leading industrial Distributed Control System platforms, including one or more of Emerson DeltaV, Foxboro IA, Rockwell, or Yokogawa Centum.
  • Ability to work in a plant setting, perform walkdowns and project execution, and use Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and retain job-related training, operational, and safety protocols.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 60%.
Responsibilities
  • Lead estimating, planning, execution, and schedule and cost management for Class I, II, and III Distributed Control System upgrade projects.
  • Create scopes of work and lead the bid process to select third-party contractors.
  • Manage and direct third-party contractors during control system project execution.
  • Coordinate and manage Factory Acceptance Testing and Site Acceptance Testing for control system projects.
  • Liaise with Engineering and Construction to deliver control system projects to plants in accordance with specified standards.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure control system designs meet applicable standards and incorporate upgrade program standards.
  • Coordinate Corporate Operational Technology, Electrical, Plant Operations, and Instrumentation teams during upgrades.
  • Apply knowledge of the National Electrical Code, Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements, and International Society of Automation standards, along with general knowledge of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Read, interpret, and mark up Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and perform basic process calculations.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, including scoping, estimating, scheduling, critical path analysis, budgeting, cost control, and design or scope change management.
  • Develop Project Statements of Work and preliminary estimates for project funding requests.
  • Use project estimates and vendor quotes to establish project budgets for Pre-FEED and FEED studies.
  • Create and manage purchase orders and change orders using Oracle.
  • Track expenses against budgets and provide weekly financial updates.
  • Apply industry-standard applications for project scheduling and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
  • Prepare and submit formal project reports at intervals appropriate to project scope and complexity.
  • Coordinate with Field Sourcing Specialists and Supply Chain Management on proposals, material and service delivery, and bidding for project phases and field contracts.
  • Support procurement efforts to secure frame agreements with third-party suppliers.
  • Assess engineering processes, identify and report deviations, and contribute to project management execution standards.
  • Provide project management assistance to Junior Engineers as required.
  • Implement improved project management strategies and pursue professional growth through formal and informal training.
Desired Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer registration is desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of leading industrial Distributed Control System platforms, including Emerson DeltaV, Foxboro IA, Rockwell, or Yokogawa Centum.
  • Familiarity with Air Separation Unit and Steam Methane Reforming technology process control and current technology trends.
  • Basic understanding of the industrial Information Technology domain, including security and interface protocols.

Air Liquide launches $565M green bond to refinance hydrogen and sustainability projects

Air Liquide has launched its first green bond issue, raising €500 million to finance and refinance sustainable projects including hydrogen development. Air Liquide raises $793M in inaugural Swiss franc bond issuance

Air Liquide has completed a multi-tranche bond issuance totalling 640 million Swiss francs (approximately €702 million).
