  • BS/BA degree in an industry-related field, Safety-related degree or Safety Certification
  • Minimum three years of solar residential/commercial safety experience preferred
  • Three or more years of direct experience in training and development in a Solar Construction environment
  • Two to three years of electrical experience
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • OSHA 500 certification
  • Current safety certifications in applicable topics including fall protection, NFPA 70E, electrical safety, lock-out-tag-out, trench safety, ladder safety, and general safety
  • First aid, CPR, and AED certification
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, NFPA, and DOT regulations and reporting requirements, and construction industry best practices
  • 50% or more travel required
Responsibilities
  • Supporting programs that exceed expectations
  • Training and coaching employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ensuring all Operations Field Staff are trained and developed
  • Performing regular on-site coaching/training with field team members
  • Identifying training and development needs within field-related positions
  • Monitoring and evaluating safety practices in operations
  • Solving specific training problems
  • Reporting progress of team member training and performance
  • Performing periodic Safety Site Checks
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Amending and revising programs as necessary
  • Assisting in the production of training materials
  • Keeping up to date with developments in training and coaching
