  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Sufficient experience to acquire a knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance or a minimum of four years closely related work experience
  • Written and verbal communication skills required
  • Ability to operate mechanical and electrical equipment required
  • Must possess a license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to operate electrical and mechanical testing equipment to include grinders, drills and welders
Responsibilities
  • Operates and maintains steam boiler system
  • Repairs and maintains boiler feed water pump and control
  • Repairs and maintains condensate pump
  • Repairs and maintains seam and water valves and pipes
  • Inspects interior conditions of steam boilers and water softener system
  • Performs and maintains daily records of boiler and city water testing results, as well as incinerator records
  • Requisition liquid oxygen and other medical gases in the hospital
  • Performs welding and piping repairs to the boiler system as well as other mechanical systems
  • Performs maintenance and repairs to reverse osmosis system
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned, such as making daily trips to county landfill.
